Kenneth Martinec spent the first 16 years of his career in civil engineering at one firm, Jones & Carter, Inc., where he managed multi-million-dollar development projects. He worked in a high-pressure environment with hard deadlines, firm budgets, difficult clients, and where failure was not an option. After proving his worth to the firm, Mr. Martinec became a partner at J&C. He managed a team of engineers, established and maintained relationships with clients, and developed business.
During his tenure at J&C, he learned to manage his own investments from one of the founders, Larry Carter, who also started his career as an engineer and transitioned to an investment advisor. Over the years, it became Kenneth’s passion to do the same. In April 2012, Mr. Martinec left the cozy confines of the engineering world to open his own registered investment advisor, Apollo Wealth Management, LLC. (“AWM”) Today, Mr. Martinec uses the same active money management approach, with an emphasis on capital preservation, that Mr. Carter taught him.
Apollo Wealth Management, LLC offers the same active portfolio management that normally only high net worth individuals receive. What is a high net worth individual? If you have to ask, it probably does not include you. And, what is active portfolio management? It means that your account is managed on an ongoing basis. Many advisors/brokers advocate a buy-and-hold approach, and only recommend reallocation every year or so. In this volatile market, that just isn’t acceptable.
As an AWM client, you can rest assured that we are constantly monitoring market conditions and making adjustments to your portfolio to manage your risk. Our goal is to decrease your risk, while maintaining high performance. Your account receives our undivided attention every day, no matter the size of your account.
If you like what you hear and want to discuss your investment needs, send me an email, and I will get back to you before the end of the next market day.
